Dutchess is a mid-range hotel located in the heart of Fort Portal. It has a spacious garden that is used as an extension of the restaurant. It is a comfortable place for a stopover. The best choice if you're looking for a very good meal, a breakfast with homemade cheese and a proper shower.
The rooms are un-African and well organised. You won't find a truly African bush experience or lodging, but it's a good place for a stopover on your way. The luxury a-la-carte breakfast the next day certainly adds to the experience. Delicious!
